I very much felt a lack of control with this process that was at first quite frustrating for me. On such a large canvas, I felt wholly unprepared to take on this painting at first, and I resorted to the attempt of letting go entirely of that control in order to really feel the work. This process has given me a much different kind of dificulty than my oil painting process did, and that's something I'm beginning to explore more and more. This work has brought me out of my comfort zone into a whole new territory, but I feel a level of excitement and whimsy at the constant building of a piece that can take whatever form I wish for it to.
