Artist Copy Process

In my efforts to recreate a figure first drawn by Bronzino, I faced a lot of trouble finding the right artist mark. Bronzino is known for his use of silver point in the creation of his very fine, very detailed drawing, though the paper he used had a much greater amount of toll, and his lines looked much thicker than mine. I experienced a lot of difficulty in finding the right medium, trying to let the lines remain light but also wanting to find a way to copy the thickness of Bronzino's mark. Although I wanted to keep the wonderful shine of the silver point, I had to switch to a very light graphite pencil instead to reach the effect Bronzino created in his work. In the future, I'd like to see if a thicker silver point exists, so I can better represent Bronzino's mark at full capacity, but for now I'm happier with the way it all truned out.
